A NUISANCE neighbour has been ordered to leave her home in Bury in a council clampdown on unruly tenants.
Susan Hill of Downham Crescent, Prestwich, was ordered by Salford magistrates to pay Bury Council's court costs of £650 and to move out.
The possession order was granted in favour of the local authority over allegations of nuisance and annoyance involving the 42-year-old and her boyfriend Stephen Hares.
Bury Metro's housing and environmental services committee chairman, Cllr John Smith said: "Taking court proceedings is not something that we do lightly.
"It is very much a last resort but if tenants refuse to show consideration for their neighbours and continue with their anti-social behaviour, we will take action.
"We believe that council tenants have the right to enjoy their homes and we will do everything within our power to protect that.
"If individuals have problems we are always willing to mediate but those who continue to disregard the rights of others should be warned that we will not tolerate it."
