NORTH-west clubs are on course to make a clean sweep of League honours for the first time in 24 years.
Wanderers secured the Division One title with their victory at Manchester City three weeks ago and could be joined on the roll of honour by near neighbours this weekend.
Manchester United will confirm their fourth Premiership title in five years if results go their way; Bury and Stockport, both already promoted, are locked in a shoot-out for the Second Division Championship and Wigan Athletic, at home to Mansfield, need a better result than second-placed Fulham at Cambridge, to take the Division Three title.
The last time the north west completed a clean sweep of league titles was in 1972-73 when Liverpool won the League Championship, Burnley won the Second Division, Wanderers the Third and Southport the Fourth.
Macclesfield, captained by Bolton's Lee Howarth, will add to the region's honours if they win at Kettering and stave off the challenge of Kidderminster in the Vauxhall Conference cliffhanger.
