SIR: On Thursday April 24, a card was put through the door to say that an 'item' had been taken back to Farnworth Post Office. I had ordered a gold copy of the BWFC last programme. I called to pick up my programme on Friday April 25, the day of the last match at Burnden Park. But it wasn't there. I was given the sorting office number in King Street, Farnworth .

The man that I contacted at Farnworth sorting office could not have been more helpful, ringing round everywhere. He called me back in a phone kiosk twice to keep letting me know what was happening. When he could help me no more he gave me the customer care number to ring at Bolton Post Office for advice.

Another very kind and helpful gentleman was there, even offering for the GPO to try and obtain another copy from BWFC if they couldn't find the original copy. He took my phone number and wished me an enjoyable match and said he hoped it wouldn't spoil the night too much.

At 5.30pm Friday April 25, the phone rang. It was the gentleman at Bolton Post Office who had found my 'Gold Programme'. I couldn't believe it when he offered to deliver it to my house before the match! At 5.55pm the man arrived with my programme.

Please thank the two gentlemen concerned for all their help and time. It was really appreciated.
