Wanderers will be playing for a place in football history when they put the finishing touches to an incredible season at Prenton Park tomorrow.
A 2-0 win over Tranmere will give Colin Todd's Champions the unique double of 100 points and 100 league goals.
But the man who expects to carry the burden of scoring responsibility cares little for the statistics.
Nathan Blake wants Wanderers to end the season on a high but insists: "Talk of doing the double is more a big deal for the fans than for the players.
"We'll be happy just to come away with the three points. If we can score two goals, okay. But going out on a winning note is more important to us. "We wanted promotion and we've got it; we wanted the Championship and we've got it. We couldn't have asked for any more."
Blake, currently of the 24-goal mark, is the only one of Todd's main strikers certain to make the starting line-up. John McGinlay and Mixu Paatelainen have been under treatment and Scott Taylor has been placed on standby.
Even without the historic 'double' Wanderers have already done enough to force a major re-write of the club's record books.
They have already set new records for most wins in a season (28), most goals (98) and most away goals (38). They have equalled the record for most home wins (18) and tomorrow can equal the most away draws (10), the fewest defeats (4) and the fewest away defeats (3).
But they will be up against a record-breaker in the shape of Rovers' player-manager John Aldridge, who has laid claim to be the most prolific striker in English football history with 468 career goals - although Jimmy Greaves continues to dispute the claim.
Aldo (38) is expected to line-up alongside 23-year-old Lee Jones, who has scored four in seven appearances on loan from Liverpool and is due to decide next week whether to make his move permanent.
