I'm waiting at God's bus stop
There are others in the queue
No one knows for certain
Just when their bus is due.
He has a frequent service
Twenty four hours I'm told
I hope it isn't very long
I'm getting rather cold
There's such a cross section of people
Every creed and race
No one pushing and pulling
Each waiting in their place
I'm off to meet a loved one
Who left on a coach before
It will be great to see them
When I walk through heaven's door
I'm not afraid of the journey
Though it may be a bumpy ride
And worth having a single ticket
To be back at their side
Okay, I've had a happy life
But all must go some day
It's going to be so great though
To say, Hi! I'm here to stay
It's going to be sad leaving loved ones
That may seem rather unkind
Though we're all in the queue at God's bus stop
There's another one not far behind. By R Taylor
