SIR: I agree with John Mason's letter about Radio Bolton's Country Show. A programme should contain what is stated in the title.
"Keep it Country" means a Country Music programme in anyone's eyes and I cannot see how it can turn into an Irish Music Show.
This is not the first time Radio Bolton has changed programmes. On their first weekend a Sunday night Community programme at 7pm just did not go out. Reason stated was that the local cricket was deemed to be more important. (More important obviously than what is happening in the Bolton area).
How can you possible run a professional station when at the drop of a hat programmes are dropped without prior warning.
I for one now listen to my favourite Country Music on CD.
