SIR: On Sunday June 8, I visited Overdale, it being the anniversary of my mother's death. My intention was to put flowers in the chapel and more importantly to view the inscription I had placed in the Book of Remembrance, it being on display each year on June 8.
I arrived at the Chapel at 3pm, to find that at weekends it closes at 2pm. On a sad day for me this ridiculously early closing time caused me even more distress.
I find it incredible that during the summer months it should be found necessary to close the Chapel so early. Surely some consideration could be shown to relatives who cannot visit earlier in the day.
