LEIGH RMI will apply for membership to the GM Vauxhall Conference later this year.
RMI, who won promotion back to the UniBond Premier Division this season, last night declared their intention to aim for Conference status.
Chairman Chris Healeysaid: "We aim to push on from promotion this season.
"The next target is the Conference but to do that we need to state our intentions now. Conference officials need to know by September which clubs have the criteria for membership should they win promotion
"I can state here and now that we will be one of those clubs."
