A GRAVE digger trapped by falling earth in a new grave was recovering at his Horwich home after his ordeal yesterday.
As reported in later editions of the BEN, Craig Farrington, 25, had to be rescued by firemen at Ridgmont Cemetery, Horwich.
Mr Farrington was working with a colleague when there was a collapse of soil, thought to have been caused by heavy overnight rain, trapping him by his legs.
Firemen spent 30 minutes freeing Mr Farrington, who was taken to the Royal Bolton Hospital. He was allowed home after treatment.
