BURY have earmarked Burnley's transfer-listed centre-back Peter Swan as a transfer target.
Newly-promoted Shakers are planning a series of summer signings to strengthen their squad in readiness for the Division One campaign and a deal for Swan could be pitched at around £150,000.
Swan, who played as a striker under Bury boss Stan Ternent at Hull City, missed the start of last season after a row with Clarets' boss Adrian Heath but forced his way back into the reckoning before being sidelined with an Achilles tendon injury.
Now the arrival of Marco Gentile from Dutch club MVV has put his Turf Moor future in doubt.
Bury have also been linked with a move for Carlisle midfielder and captain Steve Hayward, who is out of contract.
