PROFESSIONAL David Hamilton was Daisy Hill's all round hero as they coasted to a resounding nine wicket win over Astley and Tyldesley yesterday,

First he picked up three wickets for 12 off 11 overs as A & T were restricted to 121-9, 47 of those runs coming from the bat of Ian Robinson.

Hamilton then took over with the bat and tormented A & T again hitting an unbeaten 52, Neil Pickup was not out on 38 and Ian Finn had 25 as Daisy Hill finished the game with 22 overs to spare.

Atherton emerged from their day off on Saturday to complete an eight wicket rout of Spring View.

Skipper Steve Walsh had the home side trooping back to the pavilion at regular intervals as he picked up six wickets for 37 runs.

Ian Moss chipped in with 3-41 and Spring View were skittled for a meagre 78.

That proved no problem for the home side and with Brian Cole hitting an unbeaten 37, they reached the target with time and wickets to spare.

Darcy Lever continued their recent good form with a seven wicket win over Standish.

Tom Elliott took 4-24 to spark off a Standish collapse that saw them tumble from 52-0 to 116-8 and in reply Noel Nicklin's 46 and Jason Whittaker's 38 saw Darcy home at 117-3.

Edgworth pro Chris Davies was unbeaten on 66 and Mike Davies 65 in a rain-affected draw with Blackrod.

Their contribution helped Edgworth total 171-5 and in the 35 overs that Blackrod were left with, they reached 108-5, pro Nigel Partington providing the bulk of those runs with 64.
