SIR: I just had to put pen to paper. I have lived in the Chorley Old Road area for 40 years and have seen many changes and some not for the better, I might add, with litter and rubbish left everywhere.
But there is one piece of heaven I love to see. It's a small garden in Oxford Grove. It is beautiful, with baskets of colour, small fountain and pond with fish. It is a credit to the owners.
My wife and I pass every week when we go bowling and have to stop to take in the sight. My wife and I could willingly sit on their bench and pass away a few hours. It looks so peaceful.
God bless them for keeping such a little piece of paradise.
