PARKING fees in Bury are set to change.
A package of parking measures will be introduced including a charge for on-street parking.
Bury town hall officials say the measures will bring the town in line with other shopping centres in Greater Manchester.
Other changes could also include a residents parking scheme helping locals park outside their homes by preventing long stay parking.
Cllr Julie Higson, chair of the development services committee said: "For the residents, who have so far been supportive of the idea, it will mean the end of a lot of aggravation. The introduction of on-street charges will help us to provide more spaces in the town centre area and allow a greater availability of parking options."
