MEMBERS of a Blackrod karate group are to take part in a 108-mile fundraising cycle ride on July 5.
The Go-Ju-Ryu Karate Group, based at Blackrod Scout hut, aim to raise funds for two fellow members with brain disorders.
They plan to cycle from Blackrod to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham where group member David Gibbons had an operation to relieve pressure on his brain.
David, 23, of Blackrod, suffers from the rare condition, Syringomyelia, which affects the brain stem.
His fellow member, James Silcock, 13, also of Blackrod, is receiving treatment for a brain tumour.
If you would like to sponsor the cyclists, call David on 01942 747708.
