MOSS Bank Park in Bolton is set to really bloom next Spring.
Bolton's leisure services bosses are lending their support to Marie Curie Cancer Care by supplying 100,000 daffodil bulbs for a 'Field of Hope'.
The bulbs will be planted this autumn, turning the field into a blaze of colour by Spring 1998, marking 50 years of cancer care in the community.
Area fund-raiser Lesley Jackson said: "Many families in Bolton have benefited from the special care and expertise of the Marie Curie nurses, especially people who are struggling to cope caring for a relative with cancer at home.'
If anyone would like to dedicate daffodil bulbs in memory of a loved one or colleague, call the Marie Curie fund-raising office on 0161 480 3002.
A roll of honour sign within the park will bear the names of individuals and companies who sponsor the planting of the daffodils.
