A TOP Chorley restaurant is to celebrate 50 years of India's Independence in unique style - and they want someone who was born on August 15, 1947, to bring a guest and join them in what promises to be a very hot night.
Sharju Indian Restaurant, of Church Street, Adlington, wants all entrants or their nominees to put into no more than 30 words why they think they should be chosen as a special guest.
Entries with a contact telephone number should be sent to the restaurant before July 15 when judging will take place.
More than 200 people are expected to join the celebration, including leading figures in local business and politics.
Twelve types of Indian cuisine will be on offer from the different regions of India and there will be live Indian music and dancing.
