students SIR:Contrary to popular belief we students are not 'wasters', 'scroungers' and sin-directed lay-abouts, but most are like myself; tenacious, committed and distinctly under-funded. I have not met one who does not work as well as study full-time in order that they may sustain some semblance of a social life. So to all those who consider a student's career to be one long philosophical debate about the price of a pint, I would answer most students would be lucky to find the time and money to do so.
