AN unbeaten century from Neil Johnson steered Bradshaw to a six wicket win as they finally ended their marathon Hamer Cup quarter final against Greenmount last night.

The tie, which has gone on each night this week after being washed out on Sunday, looked to be in Bradshaw's hands as they started the final phase at 83-0 with 34 overs left to overhaul Greenmount's 216-8.

After the rain of the last two days, batting was never easy but Johnson played a controlled innings that earned him a deserved century - his first of the season.

Bradshaw now join Kearsley, Tonge and Egerton in next month's semi-finals.

The two joint leaders of the Bolton League face each other in a showdown match tomorrow.

Walkden, who drewlevel with the early leaders Tonge after winning at Egerton last week, have home advantage as they bid to move ahead of the reigning champions.

There's also a full league programme on Sunday when Walkden look to have the tougher game at top four side Westhoughton while Tonge are at home to Astley Bridge.

In a feast of local cricket, the Bolton Association have a double weekend with leaders Golborne, who beat Northern League side Blackpool in the Lancashire Knockout last week, entertaining Clifton tomorrow before going to Walshaw on Sunday.
