SIR: I have little sympathy for Mrs Sue King, whose property was allegedly vandalised by a couple renting it from her (BEN, June 6).
My sympathy is with the neighbours in Lawn Street, who have to put up with tenants like these and others before them.
By her own admission, gangs of lads used to be at the house and it turned out they were dealing in guns and drugs."
She seems only to be interested in the fact that her property has been ruined and shows no concern towards the people who have to live with the problems caused by her tenants.
Surely this emphasises the need for vetted tenants and trial tenancies. Landlords must be responsible for the condition of their properties and the people living in them at all times.
