Wanderers' bank balance will soar sky high when they score a hat-trick of TV dates next season.

Three appearances on Sky Sports in the first half of the season will net Colin Todd's Premiership hopefuls a cool £450,000, boosting their total TV income to well over £3 million.

As revealed in yesterday's BEN, Sky have selected the first game at the new Reebok Stadium - the visit of Everton - as one of their main early-season features.

The match, originally scheduled for Saturday, August 30, has been put back to Monday, September 1 (ko 8pm).

Wanderers will appear on TV twice in the space of a fortnight in December. Sky will broadcast the home games against Newcastle (Monday, Dec 1) and Derby County (Sunday, Dec 14).

The programme of 'live' games for the second half of the season has still to be announced.

The satellite channel's extensive coverage of Premiership and Nationwide League games will also feature Bury's home game against Manchester City, which will be shown on Friday, September 12.

Meanwhile, Colin Todd expects to hear over the weekend whether he has been successful in his efforts to persuade Newcastle favourite Peter Beardsley to join Wanderers' assault on the Premiership.

Kenny Dalglish says he can offer the 36-year-old former England star no guarantees of first team football next season while Beardsley himself believes he still has two more years of top flight football left in him.

Scott Green's £300,000 transfer to Tranmere, agreed between the two clubs, is expected to be formally completed early next week.
