SIR: I refer to the article in the BEN (Saturday, June 14). It was about the father, Roy Healey, who gave up his job to care for his two young sons so that his wife could return to work as a GP.
He expressed difficulty in attending playgroups with his children before they started schools. As they are mainly women who take their children to these activities many are named Mums and Toddlers.
I was discussing this with my daughter. My little grandson who was not supposed to be in on this conversation, chirped in with his suggestion. "They could call the groups Anyone and Toddlers" he said. Not a bad thought for a four-year-old.
