WIGAN prop Neil Cowie's future with the club could be decided by directors at a special meeting tomorrow.
But Warriors chairman Jack Robinson denied reports that the 30 year old Welsh forward was already being lined up in a player plus cash swap deal for St Helens unsettled star Chris Joynt.
Cowie was sent home for disciplinary reasons after allegedly missing a training session in the run-up to Wigan's final game Down Under against the Canberra Raiders.
Robinson said: "It's too early to suggest Neil has played his last game for Wigan.
"I have still to discuss the full situation or what happened with the coach Eric Hughes."
He added: "We will do that at the meeting on Wednesday."
But Robinson has been a long time admirer of Great Britain forward Joynt who is five years younger than Cowie.
Wigan's squad was due to return from Australia today, after a tour of mixed fortunes in the World Club Championships.
They won their opening game against the Canterbury Bulldogs by 22-18 before falling to heavy defeats at the hands of the Brisbane Broncos and Canberra.
