A YOUNG Bolton actor will be seen tonight retracing the last journey of missing Manchester schoolboy Jamie Lavis. Eight-year-old Nathan Humphries, of Breightmet Drive, took part in the reconstruction which will be broadcast on Granada TV's Crimebusters feature.
Jamie Lavis, also aged eight, has been missing from his home in Openshaw for six weeks.
Detectives believe he may have been abducted after boarding a bus at Ashton-under-Lyne station on May 5.
Police circulated theatrical agents appealing for help in putting together a TV reconstruction of the youngster's last known movements before his disappearance.
Nathan is a member of the Dawn Dawson Drama School in Bolton.
His agent at Laine Management noticed the likeness to Jamie and responded to the police appeal.
Nathan had his hair cropped specially for the reconstruction which was filmed yesterday.
His mum, Michelle said today: "I am very pleased we could help and I only hope it will lead to Jamie's safe return."
