GROUPS of Wanderers' season ticket holders who have submitted block bookings for seats in the new Reebok Stadium have been told to stay away from Burnden Park on Thursday when tickets go on sale.
Many Burnden and Manchester Road terrace regulars, who want to sit with friends and families as they have done for many years, have taken the club's advice and nominated representatives to make group applications on their behalf.
With season tickets for the lower tiers of the East, West and North stands going on sale this week, ticket office staff are expecting some of the biggest queues to date. But group applications will not be dealt with.
Wanderers chief executive Des McBain explained: "The block applications are being processed separately by ticket office personnel and will not be dealt with at the windows on Thursday.
"Season ticket holders with this sort of application will be contacted via their spokesperson in the next two weeks.
"There is absolutely nothing for them to worry about in relation to a seat not being available."
