SIR: May I ask you to pass on our thanks to all the volunteers who braved quite adverse weather conditions last Saturday to assist with the Vision Aid Street Collection and to the members of the public for their generosity.
Despite the weather a total of £631.13 was donated, all of which will be devoted to the provision of support to families with blind and visually impaired children.
Since the promotion of Vision Aid's services during the recent GMTV programmes the number of families approaching Vision Aid for help has increased dramatically and our charity needs all the support it can get.
