A SPECIAL breakfast meeting in the town hall will help Bolton's business community get to grips with next week's Budget.

Bolton Bury Training and Enterprise Council is organising the free event in the Festival Hall at 8am on Thursday, July 3.

It will include full and detailed analysis of Chancellor Gordon Brown's first batch of financial measures. Mr Graham Farrell, BBTEC's Director of Marketing, says: "The business world, particularly owner-managed companies, will be watching very closely to see if the budget really does support Tony Blair's promise that Labour is the party for business."

Areas which could be covered include VAT, National Insurance contributions, inheritance tax, corporate tax and the tax position for pension schemes.

The breakfast will be followed by an expert overview of the budget and its potential impact on business to be delivered by Deloitte & Touche.

It will be chaired by Mark Baines, a leading tax advisor who specialises in owner-managed businesses.

The presentation will be followed by a question and answer session.

Anybody interested is asked to ring the Marketing Department at BBTEC on 01204 397350.
