SIR: I refer to the two letters with reference to poor Zack on June 20. I totally agree with the comments of Mr J Higson, and L Kenyon. It is absolutely ludicrous of the judge to sentence the poor dog to death when evil people such as muggers, murderers etc are given light sentences. Zack deserves to live, as he is obviously not a vicious dog by nature and is very much loved by his owner.
I sincerely hope that the magistrates live to regret their decision to sentence an innocent dog to death, when there are all these evil people who have committed horrific crimes going free, and I hope they get their come-uppance. They should show some compassion and give a reprieve, and give the poor dog another chance. They certainly should take notice of the wishes of the people. Yes - get your priorities right and show some mercy for this little dog, Zack. He does not deserve to die.
I know what I would do if he were my dog. No way would I let them have their evil way and have him destroyed, as I would think of a way out.
I wonder if the owner of Zack has seen his MP about this case. Maybe he could help to get a reprieve. I do wish him the best of luck for Zack. He deserves to live - poor little dog. There certainly are some heartless people in this world, to give a death sentence to a little dog when it has no chance to defend itself.
