GREEN-fingered children from St Thomas of Canterbury School, Heaton will be cleaning up a local beauty spot as part of an environmentally-friendly project.
Parents will be lending a hand in the school's effort to clear litter from Captain's Clough community nature reserve on July 3. Youngsters will put into practice lessons learned on improving the environment.
The clean up is being organised by Bolton's Wildlife Project.
More than 50 children are expected to take part, marking the end of a year long initiative to make the nine year olds more 'green'.
