A PASSENGER bought a ticket to ride for a puppy .... then got off leaving him on the back seat of a bus.
The terrified mongrel was found cowering on the top of a double decker when the driver pulled into the depot.
RSPCA chiefs fear the timid collie-type dog was deliberately dumped and are trying to trace the owner or a family prepared to take in the abandoned dog.
The bus driver recalls someone buying a ticket for a dog on the town centre to Halliwell route on Friday morning but cannot remember any further details.
