SIR: An article recently published in your newspaper has been brought to my attention regarding a request for treatment for an aortic aneurism. The article was in a May issue in the section named Talking Point. This specific short article was entitled "Walking timebomb'. In this article Denise Walsh of Derwent Road, Farnworth requested information regarding a specialist in Manchester performing a specific treatment for aortic aneurism. She had heard through a certain newspaper article of a specialist performing minimal invasive treatment for an aortic aneurysm.
My team at North Manchester General were the first to perform this procedure in North Manchester and a number of articles were published in local newspapers. We are performing this procedure regularly now at North Manchester General and are offering treatment to patients who would normally be unfit for major surgery.
