SIR: Many of your readers will have heard that tax relief on private medical insurance for the over 60s is likely to be cut by the Chancellor in his Budget on July 2.
Healthcare providers say this will result in premium hikes of 30 per cent on policies if tax relief is axed.
This is of real concern to thousands of older people worried about affording their monthly payments.
But there are things that we have on offer to offset the impact of the changes.
Norwich Union Healthcare has set up a free dedicated tax relief helpline for any reader who is worried about implications of the government's new policy -regardless of whether they are a customer or not.
The Norwich Union Healthcare Tax Relief Helpline is now open on Freephone 0500 601166 from 8am to 8pm.
