LEIGH Centurions might be down - but they are far from out.

The Hilton Park mood is still subdued after last Sunday's last-kick defeat at Batley and they go into this weekend's home clash with lowly Doncaster Dragons needing a pick-me-up.

The Batley blow almost certainly means that promotion is now out of their own hands.

"We'll probably need help from elsewhere if we're to get that second promotion place," confirms Leigh coach Keith Latham.

"All we can do is win our three remaining games as well as we can...and then hope for the best. If somebody gives us a chance, we'll take it!"

Latham will send his team out on Sunday with a double mission - win the game and improve the points differential which is one of the worst among the promotion candidates.

"Of the three games we've got left, this is our best chance to rack up the points. It could be crucial in the long run."

Latham expects to be able to choose from strength when the time comes to select his side. The only absentee will be scrum-half Chris Wilkinson who serves the last of a three-match ban.

Andy Pucill (groin) and Matt Nixon (hamstring) both suffered some reaction to their recent injuries at Batley but both are expected to recover.

Latham will keep his starting line-up under wraps as the Hilton Park boss weighing up one or two options after last night's 32-8 Alliance defeat by Swinton Lions.

The squad is: Hill, Purtill, Hadcroft, Donlan, Sarsfield, Burrows, Blackburn, Gunning, Patel, Hilton, O'Loughlin, Street, Jenkins, Bannister, Pucill, Liku, Daniel, Nixon, Costello, Fairclough.
