FUND-RAISERS Mary Ryan and Marion Hogg joined with a team of accountants to revamp a garden at their new Little Hulton nursery for the children of single parents.
The two Walkden women have raised more than £95,000 to buy and refurbish a Victorian building on Cleggs Lane.s And Manchester firm Ernst & Young took part in a Challenge Anneka-style landscape operation to transform the dilapidated gardens into a play area.
Students from Manchester University drew up ambitious plans for the garden, including a cycle track and sandpit.
The landscaping is the final stage of a two year-long project to open a nursery geared at providing low cost child care for single parents in the area.
