We're all on the Road to Jericho.
Will we pass by the people we see,
Broken with worry and trouble,
Perhaps thinking, I'm glad that's not me?
Will we cross over and hurry,
Eager to be on our way,
Hoping that someone behind us,
Will help this poor soul through the day?
The Road to Jericho is tricky,
And many will fall by the side.
The weak, the healthy, the poor, and the rich,
It's not down to each one to decide,
Who will survive and who'll perish.
Hard times on all can befall.
And just round the bend, tomorrow, maybe,
It could be us who will stumble and fall.
And then as we sit broken-hearted.
Perhaps with a tear in our eye.
What then will we think of the people
Who just turn their heads and pass by? By Mrs J Brown
