LEVER Park Action Group is pressing North West Water for a meeting to discuss the future of the park.
Following the failure to gain a £3.5 million Millennium grant to build a Blue Planet visitor centre, the group of campaigners say they need to discuss the situation with the water company.
Action Group spokesman Graeme McIver said: "The time has come for North West Water to enter into a genuine dialogue so that users of the park and local residents have their views considered when the future of Lever Park is discussed.
"In particular, the composition of the trust that has been set up to run the Park should be changed so that it is genuinely independent of North West Water."
