SIR: I, Mrs Kathleen Dreyfus, nee Shipperbottom, would like to trace any living relatives of my father - John Robert Shipperbottom, born on May 25 1901, of John Robert Shipperbottom and Rose Ann Shipperbottom, nee McCarthy. He had two sisters, one Rose Ann, who married Hugh Pilkington on September 4 1926; one brother, James, born on August 18 1904. All were born in the Bolton area and are probably still there as I know from the archives of Somerset House that there are many people of that name in Bolton and around.
I never saw my father's family after 1944, when my mother left my father to settle in the London area. I would be very pleased to hear from anybody who could give me news. My birthdate is July 2 1940 and I shall be in the Bolton area for a week from March 18 - 27. Any messages can be left at the following number 0181 959 1167.
