SIR: I entirely agree with reader Mrs Walsh on the shabby service of the post office - but at least she did eventually receive her birthday card.
I am still waiting for mine, as both my nephew and niece, and also their children, posted birthday cards on February 8 (locally), with first class stamps, hoping I would receive them on February 10. I believe my nephew has phoned and complained, but I have not heard or received any sort of apology.
Most of my cards were delivered personally by hand, which goes to show that people nowadays do not think the Royal Mail is as efficient as it used to be.
Mrs C Booth,
Melrose Avenue, Bolton.
