GUESTS had better be ready with the sponges to wipe down their best togs when the Mayor of Bolton, Cllr Peter Birch, holds his charity dinner and cabaret at the Albert Halls on Friday, March 20.
For serving up the drinks - or, more accurately, spilling them - will be manic waiter Manuel, immortalised in the John Cleese classic Fawlty Towers.
Actually, he's incredible Andrew Sachs look-alike Charles Haslett, who makes a living by impersonating famous people such as Manuel, Prince Charles and Inspector Clouseau.
As the dotty waiter, he'll be creating some anxious moments as he takes his silver tray around the dining tables at the Mayor's bash.
