BOLTON is to stage its own Woman's Festival in May in a week long event promoting female activities in the town.
Over the past five years Bolton has held its own Women's Week to coincide with the worldwide day.
But this year, Bolton Council's Leisure Services have decided to turn it into a festival hoping to attract a wealth of women in all walks of life.
Leisure Services say the festival will offer recognition to women offering them the opportunity to have a good time.
Leisure centres across the borough will stage events including sporting activities, cookery classes and car maintenance.
Leaflets are available at all leisure centres and anyone interested is asked to contact Kerstine Hogg at Bolton Town Hall on 522311 extension 4065 for further details.
