ALAN Peary, a prominent figure in Bolton League cricket for over 50 years, has died.
He played for Farnworth and Walkden in a career that spanned 27 years before embarking on a 24 year spell as an umpire.
Last year he received the League's Hubert Pendlebury Memorial Trophy for his long and devoted service.
