NEWSQUEST plc, the company which owns the Bolton Evening News and Bury Times Group, has made another acquisition.
It has acquired property Weekly Ltd for a total consideration of £2.5 million in cash and loan notes.
The deal involves eight residential property advertising titles with a combined free distribution of more than 260,000 copies in South-west London and Surrey.
In the year to July 31, 1997 Property Weekly's turnover was £2.54 million.
Newsquest is England's largest regional and local newspaper publisher.
It believes the acquisition is an excellent strategic fit and takes it into some attractive areas where it has previously had no presence.
The Property Weekly business, which was established in 1982, will become part of Newsquest's South London operation.
