ANGRY commuters have again been hit by a police blitz on parking around Lostock Station.
Train users with cars parked on Regent Road had warning notices stuck to their windscreens on Tuesday night.
But commuters say the small car park at the station is inadequate so they have no choice but to park on the road.
The notices warn drivers they are causing an obstruction and will be booked next time they are caught.
One furious train traveller, a recruitment consultant who works in Manchester, found the police notice on his windscreen.
His wife said: "It's a bit rich really.
"The Government wants to get cars off the road but then you find there's no where to park."
She said there were no double yellow lines and no signs telling people not to park.
And she said the police were unfriendly and didn't give her any advice when she rang for help.
She fumed: "The police were really unhelpful. They just said he had better not park there again or he'll get a fine."
She is writing to the rail authority and Bolton Council to express her anger.
A spokesman for GMPTE (Greater Manchester Passenger Transport Executive) said: "We are aware there is a need to look at the parking situation as well as other improvements."
