A NEW sensation in the field of exercise has landed - and it burns-up calories at about 500 calories an hour!
The new form of indoor biking - Cycle Reebok - has been installed at Philips Sports Centre, Higher Lane, Bury - the only official Cycle Reebok Centre in North Manchester.
Six staff at the centre have been trained by Reebok to use the specially developed bikes, which are claimed to strengthen the heart and improve muscle tone.
Bury Metro's Recreation Officer, Marie Laing, said: "Men and women of all ages and fitness levels are discovering the benefits of Cycle Reebok. It is an exciting form of indoor cycling and a super aerobic work-out."
It is claimed the cycles are one of the quickest ways to transform a couch potato into an athlete and are a good way to lose weight, burning about 500 calories per hour session.
