DETECTIVES believe a Bolton racing cyclist may have lost his dream machine without even realising it.
The ultra-light Giant racing cycle, equipped with a top-of-the-range Shimano component set, was recovered from a Bolton house where a man was arrested.
But when police checked their records, there was no report of the cycle on the "missing or stolen" list.
Detective Constable Darren Wiggans said: "It could belong to a racing cyclist who has been away and is unaware the cycle has been taken from his garage or shed." The customised bike is a blue Giant Peloton with several distinguishing features.
