SIR: I refer to the letter headed: Apology demand (BEN, March 5) from the Kearsley Council Syndicate and say to them that not giving the correct information to local residents about new developments in their areas is not the answer. I think you are now aware of that because of your site visit - Longcauseway area March 5, at 9.45am and replies ?to your letter. Are the people not part of your schemes, do they not live there? It seems not.
In answer to your letter about my name and phone number in Bolton Journal, my name and personal phone number are in all the adverts from the Mill for the benefit of my clients. This is my personal choice and has nothing to do with the issues concerned. The real issue is MY planning application - this is total rubbish. Maybe you would like to take it up with the Board of Directors at Kearsley Mill? Tell them they are telling lies.
I am still demanding a public apology for trying to blacken my good name as I have not worked at Kearsley Mill branch for the past six and half months. We have another branch in Farnworth. I don't know what planning application you are talking about.
I also suggest if you can only get the results you want through underhanded comments and threats to my position, resign. Then maybe we can find someone who will stand up for the people of Farnworth and Kearsley instead of smothering them with traffic, industry, fumes, retail outlets and fairy tales.
Mr Bill Collison
