THE BEN's story that a total of 7,000 cars were either stolen or broken into in Bolton last year made alarming reading.
That grim statistic means that every hour a car is at risk from a thief or a vandal.
Yet, according to Bolton Police community safety officer, PC Stuart Ashall, car Crime is probably one of the easiest to prevent.
We urge everyone during Bolton Crime Prevention Panel's Car Security Week in Bolton next week, to find out all they can about how to bring the crime figures down.
