A CHORLEY granny has won more than £34,000 playing bingo - less than three years after her friend scooped £80,665.
The 67-year-old widow, who does not want to be named, won the National Bingo Game prize of £31,666.67, plus a further regional pot of £2,392.70 and the £154.46 club prize.
She has been playing bingo several times a week for many years at the Robin Park Gala Club, Wigan, where she won the fabulous prizes, since it opened 14 months ago.
The National Game prize was £95,000, but the woman had to share with two other winners in Greenock and Liverpool.
The woman's 73-year-old friend from Coppull won £80,665 on the National Game in June, 1995.
They shared their winnings, with the Chorley gran giving half of her money to her sister.
Now the Chorley woman has promised to repay the kindness and share her winnings with the Coppull woman, plus another friend from Chorley and sister, aged 60, who lives in Whittle-le-Woods.
She said: "Shortly after my friend won the National Game in 95 I won a cruise to the Caribbean organised by Gala and she and I enjoyed that together."
She added: "By the time I have treated all the family, there won't be a lot left.
"We have a holiday booked for all of us, my sisters, children and grandchildren, at Pontins in July and will give me a lot of pleasure to pay for that."
