WIGAN Warriors have signed a new deal with ace centre Gary Connolly, writes David Magilton.

The Central Park club, which today announced a new £4.5m sponsorship deal with Tesco, have agreed a three year contract with the GB star. His current contract has been extended by 18 months ensuring he will be a Wigan player for the next three years.

The Warriors are confident the new sponsorship deal will take them within the salary cap and force the RL to return the £36,000 withheld from the first monthly instalment of the Murdock money.
