PETER Beardsley has rejected the offer of a loan move to Leyton Orient.
The 37-year-old former England international, transfer-listed by Wanderers, continues to be linked with a return to his first club Carlisle after completing a month's loan with Manchester City. But he is interesting a variety of other clubs who feel they can benefit from his vast experience.
Orient boss Tommy Taylor said he was confident he could come to an arrangement to take him to Brisbane Road but was told by Beardsley's agent that he does not want to play in Division Three.
"It would have been been nice for the club and good for the team," Taylor said, "but it wasn't to be."
