SIR: It is quite amazing how Bolton Council can get names and addresses correct when sending Council Tax bills out. They were not so efficient when notifying residents of Church Street and other streets about the Old Hall Street and Bolton Road Development. Some letters were incorrectly addressed, going to Farnworth instead of Kearsley; other residents never received any at all, resulting in people who wanted to object being late in doing so. Maybe some were never accounted for because of a specified objection time. A three-page petition was sent from the Lord Street area. Charles Street also sent one, plus Crompton Street, Cooke Street and Newport Street. On top of these were all the individual ones sent in, yet the Bolton Evening News published a figure of 26 objections.
Have they all been accounted for?
